The Service Roundtable Records Its 100,000th Download

On August 5, 2004, the Service Roundtable recorded the 100,000th download, by HVAC and plumbing contractors, of sales, marketing, and business tools from their website. “If you were to save everything contractors have downloaded on the old 5-1/4 inch floppy disks and stretch them end to end,” said Matt Michel, the Service Roundtable's CEO, “It would stretch more than 31 miles.” He added, “We actually crossed the 100,000 milestone in May, almost 18 months to the day from the company’s launch." Currently, the Service Roundtable reports an average of 282 downloads per day, or more than 8,000 each month. The Service Roundtable offers a number of free downloads on its website (www.ServiceRoundtable.com), including Lee Rosenberg’s “100 Simple Practices Every Service Business Should Perform” and Matt Michel’s “50 Comanche Marketing Tips for Building Your Service Business.” Other free resources are available under the Freebies tab. Serving the Plumbing and HVAC trades, the Service Roundtable is the world’s largest private contractor group.
