The Air Conditioning Contractors of America, Arlington, VA has launched a new mentoring program exclusively for its members.

The ACCA Mentor Program brings together contractors of less than five to eight years of experience with successful non-competing contractors of broad experience, so they can learn one-on-one from those who have wisdom to share.

The program is the brainchild of ACCA Chairman Skip Snyder, who introduced the concept in his inaugural address at the association’s 2004 Annual Conference. "We'll give these contractors a chance to learn, one-on-one, from contractors who've been there, who know the ins-and-outs and who know how to succeed," he said. "It's a chance for contracting business owners to give back personally to this industry - to share their wisdom and their strengths - and to make a difference in someone else's life and business."

ACCA is seeking voluntary ACCA mentors, in addition to "protégés" who would like to work with a mentor. Members can access forms to register as a mentor or protégé at www.acca.org/mentor. For more information, contact Michael Honeycutt at 703/824-8850 or e-mail [email protected].
