• AMCA International Announces New Board at Annual Meeting

    The Air Movement and Control Association International, Inc (AMCA International) announced the new board members for the years 2003-2004 at its 48th annual

    The Air Movement and Control Association International, Inc (AMCA International) announced the new board members for the years 2003-2004 at its 48th annual meeting, held this year in Malaga, Spain.

    The new board structure will have Tom Edwards, who is currently president of both Ruskin Company and Lau Industries, Inc., of Grandview, MO as AMCA International’s president. (Connie has picture of Edwards to scan)

    The outgoing president, Dr. W.T. W. “Bill” Cory of Flakt Woods Ltd., in Colchester, England will become the new Chair of the Board. Lee Buddrus of Acme Engineering and Manufacturing Corporation and U.S. Fan International of Muskogee, OK will become the new vice president. Pete Neitzel of Greenheck Fan Corporation and Future Products Corporation of Schofield, WI will become the new treasurer. Jo Reinhardt of Industrial Louvers in Delano, MN will become the director at large of the executive committee.

    Re-elected to the Board of Directors is Gary Benson of The New York Blower Company of Willowbrook, IL. Elected to the board are Mike Almaguer of Pottorff, Fort Worth, TX and Daniel Forrest of Venmar Ventilation, Inc., Drummondville, Quebec, Canada.

    AMCA International and Eurovent announced at the meeting, a Memorandum of Understanding making AMCA responsible for fan testing and laboratory accreditation for participants in Europe. The program will allow for reciprocity of acceptance of the program by both AMCA International and Eurovent.

    The Air Movement and Control Association International, Inc., is a not-for-profit international association of related air system equipment, primarily but not limited to fans, louvers, dampers, air curtains, airflow measurement stations, acoustic attenuators, and other air system components for the industrial, commercial, and residential markets throughout the world.
