Automated Logic Corporation (ALC), a leading provider of innovative building automation solutions that maximize energy efficiency while ensuring occupant comfort, recently honored its top distribution offices at its Annual Meeting in Chicago. The awards were based on superior field performance, sustained yearly growth, excellence in customer service, reputation in the market, and willingness to learn and develop.

ALC is part of UTC Climate, Controls & Security, a unit of United Technologies Corp.

“We're proud to honor our field offices for their accomplishments,” says Lauren Kolb, president, ALC. “As a global leader in building controls and automation, we are committed to providing innovative solutions and the highest quality technical expertise to our customers. Our experienced field office team is essential to our success by furthering our commitment to customer service and providing superior support in the field. We are grateful for all of their contributions.”

The Office of the Year award was presented to Metro Controls, Detroit, MI. For more than 20 years, Metro Controls has provided quality building automation solutions to the metro Detroit and greater Michigan areas. Since becoming an authorized ALC dealer in 2005 and winning ALC’s Rookie of the Year award that same year, Metro Controls has established ALC solutions in a market that was previously under represented. Metro Controls has a reputation as a leading controls firm with an experienced staff dedicated to customer satisfaction, is well-diversified in multiple market segments and has continually exceeded performance expectations.

The Project of the Year award was presented to Eastern Heating and Cooling (EHC) located in Albany, NY, for Glens Falls Hospital. This one million square foot acute care facility is the largest hospital between Albany, and Montreal, Canada. EHC was awarded the project due to its proven success in the healthcare market, technical proficiency in DDC systems, and collaborative approach to providing the customer a unique solution that offers energy savings and patient comfort. Since the installation of Automated Logic controls, EHC has helped the hospital save approximately $300,000 annually and reduced its energy consumption by 12%.

Top sales awards for outstanding performance during 2011 were also presented at the meeting to three ALC branch offices - Houston, TX, and Pittsburgh and Harrisburg, PA.
