White-Rodgers unveils its new BlueT wireless Easy InstallT thermostat system. According to company sources, the wireless Easy InstallT is ideal for residential applications where pulling wire would be difficult or cost prohibitive.
Wireless Easy InstallT will reduce hot and cold spots in the home using up to three wireless sensors that can be located anywhere in the home for optimum temperature sensing. Heat pumps with dual fuel applications can be controlled using a fourth wireless sensor that is located outdoors or by using the Dual Fuel Logic program within the system’s configuration. The outdoor sensor provides the additional benefit of displaying the current outdoor temperature on the Comfort Interface display.

Johnson Controls Adds 14.5 SEER Air Conditioners to the York LX and Latitude Series
Johnson Controls has expanded its York LX and Latitude series of mid-efficiency air conditioners and heat pumps with the addition of 14.5 SEER condensing units. The new 1.5-ton models feature the same compact footprint and height as 2-ton models in the series. When used with York’s variable-speed indoor products, the air conditioners can achieve efficiency levels that qualify them for the Energy Star designation for a federal tax credit.
Both models use R-410A refrigerant and a coil constructed of aluminum MicroChannel tubing and enhanced aluminum fins for increased efficiency and corrosion protection. Coils are further protected from damage by a polymer mesh applied between the coil face and a coated steel coil guard, while high-pressure relief valves and temperature sensors protect the compressors in the two units.
