    Eemax to Expand Within Connecticut

    March 6, 2012
    Claims 99% product energy efficiency

Eemax, Inc., a market leader in commercial, industrial, and residential electric tankless water heaters, has grown both physically and in terms of sales; so much so that it needs more room to grow in.

With further expansion anticipated, the company has outgrown its Oxford, CT headquarters and is searching locally for larger facilities with hopes of moving by this September. Trying to lend a hand with the relocation is U.S. Rep. Jim Himes (D-CT 4th District). Himes, who Himes recently paid a visit to the Eemax headquarters, works to connect small businesses with government resources and strives to ensure that local businesses have access to the capital they need to invest in their operations.

"Small businesses are the heart of our economy," Himes says. "They create almost all of our new jobs and provide a daily demonstration of the entrepreneurial spirit."

Eemax is following Jim Himes' lead to keep and grow manufacturing jobs in America. As Kevin Ruppelt, Eemax president and CEO, explains, "Not only did his visit help with the growth of our company, but we are hopeful that it will help bring about change in Washington, D.C., allowing for us to continue succeeding in a competitive marketplace."

The Congressman's visit conincides with his sponsorship of a bill (HR 3817) into the House of Representatives that will increase the regulated capacity of electric tankless water heaters.

For Eemax, the bill is the future -- allowing for new developments and innovations. In addition to the bill, Eemax continues to pursue ENERGY STAR® Certification and is collaborating with U.S. Rep. Himes to achieve that goal. "To obtain certification, we need significant support from state and federal agencies like the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency in Washington, D.C.; that is why our connection to Jim Himes is important on so many levels," stated Ruppelt. "We have accomplished quite a bit at Eemax, but we want to keep that momentum going and continue to develop innovative, American-made products."
