    EMCOR Group, Inc., Norwalk, CT, has acquired Fluidics, Inc., a privately held mechanical services company. The acquisition is meant to strengthen EMCOR’s service offerings, build on the company’s Mid-Atlantic presence, and create a platform for additional growth in facilities services.
    Based in Philadelphia, PA, Fluidics provides a full array of mechanical services to businesses in Philadelphia, southern New Jersey, and Delaware. The company employs approximately 380 technical and service personnel utilizing over 85 service vehicles. EMCOR provides customized construction, energy infrastructure, and facility services.
    In other EMCOR news, Jim Barker has been named President and chief executive officer of Hillcrest, an EMCOR subsidiary provider of HVAC, controls, plumbing, and pipefitting services in the Bakersfield, CA area.
    Barker has more than 20 years of experience in mechanical services.
