• Greenheck Fan Lauches New Entity

    April 5, 2010
Greenheck Fan Corporation has launched a new business to focus on non-residential applications.

Greenheck Fan Corporation, Schofield, WI, has announced the formation of a new entity, Unison Comfort Technologies. Unison will manufacture and sell products and systems for the non-residential equipment sector of the HVAC market, including custom air-handlers, value-added packaged rooftop units, and heating/cooling coils.

Unison Comfort Technologies will have a systems and services group to provide customer support. The company will also be headquartered in Minneapolis, MN.

    Jay Althof to Guide Unison
Jay Althof, a 25-year veteran of the HVAC industry, will serve as president of Unison Comfort Technologies. He joined Greenheck in 2005 as vice president of the company’s Outdoor Air Products division. Previously, he held a series of positions at Trane over a twenty year period, concluding as vice-president of their global controls and contracting business.

According to Althof, Unison Comfort Technologies will operate independently from Greenheck, with its own sales representatives and manufacturing operations.

“While owned by Greenheck, Unison Comfort Technologies is being formed to grow in market segments where Greenheck has had limited market presence. Initially, we will focus on the U.S. market, but plan to expand internationally in the coming years," Althof says.

    Three Brand Focus
Unison Comfort Technologies will market three established brands previously supported by Greenheck. These brands include Innovent, a provider of custom air handling systems; Valent, a provider of value-added packaged rooftop units; and Precision Coils, a provider of heating and cooling coils. Future plans include the addition of new products under each brand as well as new brands over time.
