Honeywell International, Minneapolis, MN has announced a partnership with the Indoor Air Quality Association (IAQA). Honeywell and the IAQA will team up to provide IAQ information and training for companies in the HVAC service and construction industries.

The partnership is part of a broad program leading the effort to help contractors, builders and consumers learn about indoor air quality (IAQ) and how to create cleaner home air. Honeywell recently announced a similar collaboration with the American Lung Association Health House® program, a national effort to raise the standards for cleaner indoor environments through builder and consumer education.

Honeywell and IAQA will develop and implement several innovative programs for HVAC dealer education, including a 12-hour training seminar that will be available later this year. The seminar will be based on the IAQA class Fundamentals of Indoor Air Quality and HVAC. Instruction will be provided by an IAQA-certified Master Trainer. The agreement also enables Honeywell to present the IAQA four-day Certified Indoor Environmentalist (CIE) course to its customers.

The agreement allows Honeywell to use the IAQA logo on Honeywell literature, advertising and product packaging to identify Honeywell as an IAQA sponsor and promote its affiliation with a leading source of IAQ information.

Honeywell representatives will serve on the IAQA Research and Technical Committee, as well as the IAQA Membership Committee. IAQA has also appointed Tim Kensok, Director of Honeywell’s Indoor Air Quality Products group, as an advisor to the IAQA Board of Directors. For more information, contact IAQA at 301/231-8388, or Audra Biesterfeld, Honeywell, at 763/954-4762.
