Sheffield Lake, OH, May 1, 2003 – National Comfort Institute (NCI) announces the addition of Tempo Mechanical, Irving, TX as the 100th member of National Comfort Team – the HVAC industry’s premier Performance-Based Contracting membership organization. “We’re very excited about the growth and direction NCT has taken since it was launched in the Fall of 2002, and we’re delighted to welcome Steve Saunders and the employees of Tempo Mechanical as our 100th member,” said Dominick Guarino, CEO of NCI. Tempo was recently named Contracting Business Magazine’s 2003 Residential Contractor of the Year. The company has received many awards and honors over the years, and is considered one of the top HVAC contractors in the Dallas/Fort Worth market. Tempo is an industry leader in new construction work as well as service and replacement. National Comfort Team is a membership-based organization created in response to numerous NCI graduates seeking more information and more opportunities to network with other Performance-Based contractors. NCT offers a Members-Only website packed with downloadable sales and marketing tools, technical procedures and reports as well as exclusive articles and information available throughout its website at www.ncinstitute.com. “We coined the term, ‘Performance-Based Contracting’ to best describe how NCI graduates, and in particular NCT members, approach HVAC system work,” said Guarino. Performance Based Contracting provides a means for contractors to differentiate themselves from their competition by delivering measured performance in the systems they sell, install and service. This unique approach allows contractors to increase sales and profits by offering measured total-system solutions to comfort, safety, energy efficiency, and IAQ problems. NCI was founded in 1995 as an air balance training and certification organization by President, Rob Falke ad Chairman/CEO Dominick Guarino. To date the organization has trained and certified more than 4000 industry professionals including HVAC contractors, engineers, maintenance personnel, and plumbers who service and install DHW and boiler systems. NCI conducts seminars nationwide in a variety of disciplines including system diagnostics and design, air balancing, carbon monoxide analysis and combustion efficiency. Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) and Manual J8 & Manual D training have been added to the Summer 2003 schedule.
