WD-40 Provides Tips for Tackling job Site Challenges

    Oct. 18, 2012
A 'hub' to get advice and on-the-job tips from other pros.

WD-40 Company has created a new website focused on helping construction professionals learn how to use WD-40 brand products and other resources to get their jobs done right. The site, WD40.com/GettingTheJobDone, includes a “Pros Talking to Pros” video series, WD-40 Survival Guide, information about the new line of WD-40 Specialist products and links to partner trade associations, including the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) and the National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI).

“We’ve found that construction and skilled trades professionals often look to each other for advice on new techniques and best practices, so we’ve created a hub where they can get advice and on-the-job tips from other pros,” says Tim Lesmeister, vice president of marketing for WD-40 Company. “Trade pros on the job need to be confident in their knowledge and tools, and our Getting the Job Done site is a resource they can count on.”

WD-40 Company worked through its trade association partners to identify professionals working in construction, plumbing and HVAC to share advice and trade-specific tips they’ve learned throughout their careers regarding how to protect tools, uphold safety standards, and provide top results for their clients. These tips are shared in the “Pros Talking to Pros” video series in addition to resources provided by professional trade associations about the importance of continuing education.

“NARI is proud to partner with WD-40 Company to share member expertise with other professionals working in the remodeling industry,” says NARI National President Dean Herriges, MCR, CKBR, of Urban Herriges & Sons Inc., Mukwonago, WI. “Product knowledge and good business tools are vital to NARI’s overall goal of professional development and business growth in the industry, and the Getting the Job Done Right site will assist with that.”
