Armacell Mebane Plant a Model for Safety; Earns OSHA Award

Armacell LLC's plant in Mebane, NC, has achieved a Safety and Health Achievement Recognition Program (SHARP) designation from the Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA.) SHARP status requires the lost workday incidence rate (LWDI) and injury incidence rate (IIR) to be below the national average.

The award was presented during a ceremony at the plant in March.

Representing Armacell at the ceremony were, Tom Himmel, vice president, North America; Keith Norwood, director, human resources, North America; Mike Fahsel, general manager manufacturing, North America; and John Walter, plant manage of the Mebane facility.

Armacell is the maker of Armaflex foam insulation, and is a global innovator in foam technologies and flexible mechanical insulation materials.
