Commercial HVAC Symposium Focuses on Elements of Success

Is there any one moment in a commercial HVAC project that's more important than the others?

We believe every step has immense value to the entire HVAC installation process. That's why we're going to cover them all, during the Contracting Business Commercial HVACR Symposium, Sept. 23-24, Baltimore, MD. The Commercial HVACR Symposium joins HVAC Comfortech and the Engineering Green Buildings Conference & Expo (EGB.com) for the second annual HVACR Week, September 22-24 at the Baltimore Convention Center in Baltimore, MD.

The Commercial HVACR Symposium features informative presentations by leading HVACR professionals on major topics of the day:

Earl King, E&C Productions, will describe many ways to overcoming objections and move to a close, based on value, not price, in his presentation, "Making Sales Intangibles More Tangible."

Vince Gillette and Mark Napier of Gillette Air Conditioning, San Antonio, TX, (Contracting Business 2010 Commercial Contractor of the Year) will discuss "Planning the Work and Working the Plan: The Value of Advanced Planning". Learn how this award-winning, 50-year-old company sets itself apart through planning, job costing, and strategizing.

Bob Swanger, vice president/general Manager of Harris Mechanical Service, St. Paul, MN, will provide an in-depth look at "Performance Contracting and Energy Service Companies." Performance Contracting involves a building analysis by an Energy Service Contractor (ESCO). The energy service contractor assumes the risk that the proposed solution will meet the performance requirements. Energy improvements are financed through an ESCO, in the form of a lease.

Steve Scott, director of facility services, Lee Co., Nashville, TN, will provide insight into "Single-Sourcing and Bundled Services." In this economy, every business is looking for ways to save money without compromising their product or level of service. Bundling services is a solution.

Marty Gilliam, service manager, Thermaserve, Jacksonville, FL, will describe ways that "Innovation Wins Customers." His innovative methods include alternative compressor selections for larger tonnage applications; alternative state-of-the-art sources for custom control panels; modifications, retrofits, and energy conservation upgrades.
