GreenHomes America, Irvine, CA, a provider of home performance contracting (HPC), announced it had signed a franchise agreement with ESCO Services, Salt Lake City, UT.

GreenHomes America President, Brett Knox, says the HPC market is a bright spot in a stalled building/contracting sector.

"This growth is being driven by homeowners that want lower utility bills and insurance against volatile energy costs," Knox says. He adds that he expects federal, state, and local utility incentives to continue as a way to help homeowners fund home energy efficiency improvements.
