Bristol Compressors International, Inc., a leading global producer of compressors for use in air conditioning, heat pump and refrigeration systems, announces the appointment of two vice presidents within its senior management team. Vicky Kiser has been promoted to vice president of finance, and John Young has been named vice president of supply chain.
As vice president of finance, Kiser will oversee all financial functions for the company, including cost accounting, general accounting and financial reporting, tax, treasury and information technology. She joined Bristol Compressors in 2007 and since that time has served as cost accounting manager, assistant controller and most recently as controller, when she shared CFO responsibilities with the former CEO. Her focus will be working with the senior management team to help achieve the stragetic goals and objectives of the company.
In his role as vice president of supply chain, Young will be responsible for purchasing, planning/scheduling, warehouse/logistics, customer service and supplier cost productivity. He will focus on promoting lean manufacturing, as well as improving execution systems and best practices throughout the company.

In addition to her experience at Bristol Compressors, Kiser’s 15-year career in financial management and accounting has included responsibilities for supply chain, inventory, shipping and receiving, and human resource functions. Kiser holds a B.S. in management with a concentration in accounting from Emory & Henry College in Emory, Va.

Young joins Bristol Compressors with 20 years’ experience in supply chain management. His extensive career has included managing multi-sites at Bose, ACT Manufacturing, Plexus and Trane (a business of Ingersoll-Rand), all of which are well known for their excellence in world-class supply chain management.
He most recently served as senior consultant for Ultriva, Inc., a company specializing in lean supply factory execution software. Prior to working at Ultriva, Young was materials and supply chain leader for Trane in Vidalia, Ga., where his efforts in lean manufacturing and Six Sigma excellence earned him the President’s Award and other industry-wide recognition. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business from the University of South Carolina.
