In August 2009, the Charles D. Jones Company celebrated 70 years as an HVACR industry leader in HVACR distribution. Founder Charlie Jones began in the service business in Kansas City in 1939. In 1972 the company expanded its operations westward, opening a branch in Denver and soon after expanding throughout Colorado.
In light of this celebration, the company is also pleased to announce the promotion of Royce Henderson (top) to president of Charles D. Jones and John Schillinger to executive vice president. Henderson has worked for the Charles D. Jones Company since early 1978 and has served as executive vice president for the past five years. Schillinger has been employed by the company since early 1983 and has been vice president of sales since 2004. Both Henderson and Schillinger's experience in the HVACR industry — combined with their sales skills; relationships with customers and manufacturers; and their shared marketing vision — poise them to lead the Charles D. Jones Company into a successful future.
