New staff member to raise level of member support

COLUMBUS, Ohio, March 12, 2015— HARDI is pleased to announce the hire of Alyssa Adkins to its Member Services Specialist position.

As Member Services Specialist, Adkins will develop a broad knowledge of HARDI’s four pillars and other products and programs in order to assist and direct the association’s members. Adkins will also provide internal administrative support to the rest of the HARDI staff and will work closely with Member Services Coordinator Sue Calvin as she gets acclimated to the role.

“I’m really excited for Alyssa to join the team,” said Member Services Manager Jessica McKinney. “After an extensive candidate search, we found the person with the right blend of education, experience and the outgoing personality that will make her a great fit here.”

Adkins joins HARDI from High Traffic Flooring, a contractor in southwestern Ohio. While with High Traffic Flooring, Adkins handled communications with customers and other contractors, rode along on sales calls, and performed a variety of administrative tasks such as invoicing, data entry, and accounting assistance.

Adkins graduated from Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio, with degrees in management and human resources and a minor in marketing. While attending school she also worked as manager of a local restaurant, completed an internship at an accounting firm and served as vice president of membership for her sorority.

“Having spent time with a flooring contractor, I feel very comfortable in the industrial market and I’m confident my experience in various customer-facing positions has prepared me to support and add value to our HARDI members’ experience,” said Adkins.

“Adkins will fill a vital role in HARDI’s member services department. She will elevate the level of service we provide to our members while alleviating a lot of the administrative pressures felt by staff, which in turn allows all of our staff to raise the level of service to our members,” said Vice President Government Affairs & Business Development Jon Melchi, who oversees the department.
