• Rheem Names Top Industry Executive to Lead Corporate National Accounts and Marketing

    Rheem has appointed Joseph A. Fristik corporate vice president, national accounts and marketing. Fristik will be responsible for developing new residential and commercial national sales accounts, and expanding existing accounts. In this capacity, he will oversee business-to-business initiatives that promote the company's integrated air and water technologies and its comprehensive support network. Fristik's work will target specific industries that depend on reliable and highly efficient heating, cooling and water heating systems, such as national builders, foodservice companies and retail franchises. He will also lead the Rheem corporate marketing team and will be responsible for brand strategy, communications, Web development, trade show management, merchandising, advertising and promotions.

    Fristik is a 30-year veteran of Penton Media, where he managed brands that serve domestic and international audiences and marketing partners in a wide variety of industries, including HVACR, plumbing, machine tool, welding, foundry and forging, medical and energy. His scope of responsibility encompassed managing content, production and audience development, as well as sales and marketing for more than 20 leading print, digital and event-oriented brands. In his most recent position at Penton Media, Fristik served as vice president/group publishing director for the Mechanical Systems and Design Engineering groups. Fristik has also been an active member of several key industry associations, including Air-Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI); Heating, Airconditioning & Refrigeration Distributors International (HARDI); National American Technical Excellence (NATE); Association for Manufacturing Technology (AMT); Small Motor Manufacturers Association (SMMA); and American Gear Manufacturers Association (AGMA), where he contributed expertise and leadership on many levels.

    Fristik will be located at Rheem headquarters in Atlanta and will report to Chris Peel, senior vice president and COO. Reporting to Fristik will be Ed Raniszeski, corporate director, marketing, and Mike Barnes, corporate director, national accounts.
