    Emerson Climate Technologies

Emerson Climate Technologies launched the Copeland Discus® with CoreSense Protection, an advancement to its semi-hermetic compressor line that uses the compressor as a sensor to monitor operating conditions within the compressor. Building on its compressor electronics strategy, Emerson now integrates CoreSense technology across the entire Copeland Discus compressor line up to 6 cylinder capacity. By using the Copeland Discus compressor as a sensor, CoreSense Protection monitors and interprets system and electrical information within the compressor, shutting it down before damage occurs. Copeland Discus with CoreSense Protection alerts technicians to the most serious faults first so they can accurately and rapidly correct problems and prevent compressor failures that could suddenly generate product spoilage. | www.Emerson.com

    Ritchie Engineering

Ritchie Engineering Company announced that the first in its new line of Yellow Jacket RecoverX refrigerant recovery machines has begun shipping to U.S. wholesalers. Designed and manufactured in the U.S.A., the RecoverXLT provides fast recovery of Class II, III, IV and V refrigerants including R-410A. According to company sources, it features a patented single valve control for easy changeover from liquid to vapor to purge. Other features designed to make the service job run more smoothly for the technician include automatic shut-off at 15-in. of vacuum and automatic restart if pressure rises, and auto purge that clears residual refrigerant for quick change from one refrigerant to another. The compressor is backed by a 3-year warranty, but to protect the life of the compressor and the RecoverXLT even further, the machine is designed with a constant pressure regulator valve that regulates refrigerant input to keep the machine running at optimal levels in all conditions. | www.yellowjacket.com
