Trane has launched an innovative new Climate Access feature that is available for users who pair the award-winning Trane ComfortLink™ II Control with the Nexia Home Intelligence TM system. This functionality will allow users to remotely control their home’s temperature, set heating and cooling schedules and receive alerts when it’s time to change or clean their filter. All of this can be instantly accessed through an online portal or an app available for Web-enabled mobile devices, and smart phones.

“We’re incredibly proud of the awards and recognition that Nexia Home Intelligence and the ComfortLink II Control have received,” says Karl Mutchnik, solutions manager, Ingersoll Rand Residential Solutions. “Our new Climate Access feature will further enhance our customer’s living experience, providing them with complete home comfort control — accessible from anywhere there is Web connectivity.”

All new customers who purchase the ComfortLink II will receive the benefits of Climate Access. Existing customers, who only have the ComfortLink II Control and would like to add the Climate Access feature, may convert to the new program by registering to create a new account on mynexia.com.

The Nexia Home Intelligence system may be expanded by adding additional components that allow consumers to remotely manage multiple home functions and features: including door locks, window and door sensors, recorded video surveillance, lights, shades and energy usage via any Web-enabled computer and most mobile devices. A monthly subscription fee is required for the expanded Nexia system.

Nexia Home Intelligence has garnered widespread honors, including a Gold award in the 2012 Edison Best New Product Awards in the Applied Technology category. The Trane ComfortLink II Control is an advanced command center that puts home comfort literally at its user’s fingertips. It’s the product that Design Journal named as a Platinum ADEX (Award for Design Excellence) Winner in the Product Design category. This easy-to-use, programmable device provides remote access, live weather updates and control for optimum energy efficiency, all on a beautiful color touch-screen display.
