For more than a century, Trane has led the way in offering its dealers the latest in technological innovations, as well as engineering and manufacturing excellence. The company’s latest innovation is the Trane XR15, a new mid-tier, single-stage air conditioner, which offers up to 17 SEER with Trane variable speed furnaces, air handlers and Comfort Coils™. The split system air conditioner will be available in 1.5 to five ton models.

In today’s highly competitive landscape, dealers are looking for the deepest, and broadest, product offerings and the new Trane XR15 provides them with another combination to help homeowners earn the energy-efficiency tax credits. The Trane XR15 features a Climatuff® compressor, Spine Fin™ coils and upgraded fan motor delivering unsurpassed reliability and performance.

“The new XR15 air conditioner provides our dealers with a whole new option to meet the Energy Star and Federal Energy-Efficiency Tax Credit requirements of builders and homeowners alike,” said Gordon Wuthrich, vice president of marketing, Trane. “In today’s difficult marketplace, Trane continues to provide its dealers with great products and great solutions to help their business. Whether its training and education, or providing them with new and innovative products, our goal is to help them to sell in 2009 and beyond. The new XR15 delivers the reliability they’ve come to expect from Trane and provides consumers with the energy-efficiency they demand and deserve.”
