Apple is Golden as it Celebrates 25 Years

Article Tools

Apple Heating & Cooling was founded 25 years ago this month by owners Dave Pinelli and Scott Robinson. Initially a 2- man operation located at 4807 Park Ave. in Ashtabula, the firm has grown to employ 34 at their two locations at 315 W. 49th St in Ashtabula and at 1363 E. 286th St. in Wickliffe.

“Apple has grown by providing exceptional value to its customers for 25 years” said company president Scott Robinson. “We have a great team of professionals committed to making sure our customers have a good experience when they deal with us. Our service and installation technicians have over 300 years combined experience in heating and cooling.”

“The most important reason we have reached this important milestone is the quality and dedication of our people” said Robinson. “We are very proud of their commitment and dedication to Apple and the community.”

Part of the Apple philosophy is providing a rewarding workplace. Four of our co-workers that had left Apple for other jobs later returned to Apple – and we welcomed them back. Apple has also fueled growth over the years by absorbing or purchasing other heating and air conditioning businesses. Apple acquired Fischer Heating and Air Conditioning and Read Refrigeration in 1993. In 2005 Apple hired all of the employees of Alpine Heating and Air Conditioning when the second location was opened in 2005.

The most recent acquisition was Gallo Heating and Air Conditioning in 2007. Apple Heating & Cooling offers installation and service of heating and air conditioning systems to residential, commercial and industrial customers in Ashtabula, Cuyahoga, Geauga and Lake Counties.

Apple sells and services air conditioners, furnaces, boilers, exhaust fans, heat pumps, geothermal systems, solar systems, water heaters and air cleaners. Apple’s technicians North American Technician Excellence (NATE) certified.

After beginning in the building once owned by company president Scott Robinson’s great grandfather, Apple grew and moved to the present location of company headquarters at 315 W. 49th St. in Ashtabula in 1995. The business continued to expand and opened a branch office in Willoughby in Lake County in 2005. The Lake County branch was moved from Willoughby to the present location at 1363 E. 286th St. in Wickliffe in 2007.

Apple Heating has been the recipient of numerous awards over the years, including ACCA Ohio Contractor of the Year in 2002, Trane Service Excellence Award in 1996 and Angie’s List Super Service Award in 2008. In 2009 Apple Heating and Cooling earned top spot in the United Way campaign, with our employees donating the largest amount per capita of all the companies in the campaign.
