The Manufacturers Association of Florida named Danfoss Turbocor Compressors Inc. (DTC) Manufacturer of the Year in the category of 126-400 employees.

The award was presented during the 7th Annual Manufacturers Summit and Global Marketplace Meeting in Orlando on November 3.

“We're honored by this prestigious award and proud to be recognized on our journey to becoming a world-class manufacturing company,” says Ricardo Schneider, president/CEO of Danfoss Turbocor Compressors.

DTC has received numerous awards for Innovation and Technology in several countries, but this is the first award it has received for manufacturing.

“Our company is making the natural transition from an Entrepreneurial R&D organization to a high-volume, high-quality compressor manufacturer. Our experienced and dedicated team is highly focused on continuous improvement. We have a laudable goal of achieving best-in-class manufacturing to ensure the delivery of high quality compressors to our customers,”  Schneider says.

The award was based on leadership; strategic planning; customer and market focus; measurement, analysis and knowledge management; workforce focus; process management.

“All of our finalists demonstrate a commitment to excellence in the manufacturing business, but our winners are the “best of the best” manufacturers in Florida. We are proud of their commitment to their business, their customers and their employees,” says Nancy Stephens, executive director of MAF.
