Former Building Owners and Managers Association International (BOMA) Chairman Dave Hewett will work with Portland, OR energy efficiency developer AirAdvice, a leading developer of technology and programs for improving buildings’ energy efficiency and performance. He will be responsible for extending AirAdvice’s programs further into the commercial real estate owner community both locally and nationally.

“Owners and managers are just beginning to see the value of efficiency programs like those offered by AirAdvice for their potential to reduce operating costs without requiring capital spending, ” Hewett says. “I saw the opportunity to leverage my insight into the world of commercial and corporate real estate to better educate the real estate market and their service providers on the savings potential of energy efficiency and best practices for achieving it.”

Hewitt has more than 30 years of business experience in the real estate and facilities industry. A Principal with CB Richard Ellis Trammell Crow Company, Global Services, Hewett served as an alliance director for 11 years, specializing in large-portfolio outsourcing of institutional and corporate commercial real estate services. His clients have included institutional, corporate, municipal and private entities, such as Microsoft, PMC-Sierra, Pitney Bowes, Pacific Gas & Electric, United States GSA, Austin Energy and Comerica Bank. From 2005 to 2006, Hewett was Chairman of BOMA International, after four years on the BOMA International Board of Trustees Executive Committee.

In 1998, Hewett was president of the Portland Building Owners and Managers Association. He has also served as president of the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM), Chapter 29, as well as on the board of trustees of the International Facility Management Association (IFMA) Foundation.
