Employees at EMCOR Group, Inc.'s Norwalk, CT headquarters devoted their third annual Community Service Summer Outing on June 12 to residents of Ludlow Commons, a non-profit organization providing housing for elderly and disabled individuals.
EMCOR’s Norwalk-based employees planned a full schedule of activities at Ludlow Commons, including landscaping, planting a vegetable garden, furniture assembly, socialization, and a luncheon for the residents of the 44 unit home-care facility. Originally the Roger Ludlow Elementary School, the property is now owned by the Norwalk Housing Authority and managed by New Samaritan Corporation.
Residents of Ludlow Commons worked alongside EMCOR’s employees and participated in the day’s activities. As part of the events, Mr. Frank T. MacInnis, EMCOR’s chairman and CEO, and Councilman Doug Hemstead, from the Norwalk Common Council, addressed the group.
“We're very excited to be able to continue EMCOR’s Community Service Initiative and spend a constructive and fulfilling day with the residents of Ludlow Commons,” said Frank MacInnis. “Assisting the community and giving back is something we hold as very dear and exceedingly important at EMCOR---it’s at the core of our internal values.”
