Enertech Acquires TETCO Geothermal Brand

Article Tools

Enertech Manufacturing LLC, has acquired the TETCO brand of geothermal heating and cooling systems from Chiller Solutions LLC, Pompano Plains, NJ.

The Thermal Energy Transfer Company product line was introduced in 1977, as one of the first residential geothermal brands to be marketed in the U.S.

The acquisition follows Enertech's announcement to double its manufacturing footprint by the end of 2009. The TETCO adds a third brand to Enertech's geothermal product line, supporting the GeoComfort and Hydron Module brands.

"The strength of the TETCO brand is an incredible asset," says Shawn Melton, vice president of sales. "We're excited to offer another line of geothermal products as interest in the technology grows."

Predictions are that geothermal installation will increase as a result of favorable incentives in the American Recovery and Reinvesment Act of 2009 (stimulus package).

Information about a new R-410A TETCO product line will be released soon.
