Kentucky College Offers New HVAC Courses

The Workforce Solutions Division of Gateway Community and Technical College, Florence, KY, is offering a dozen courses between March and June for HVAC technicians. The courses offered on Saturdays include: Trench and Evacuation Awareness, offered March 27 and April 24; Microsoft Excel 2007, April 24; Cash Flow Management, April 24; Business Finance, April 24; four classes on May 22, including Confined Space Awareness, Heat Load Calculations, R 410-A Refrigerant Certification, and Controls; four classes on June 26, including First Aid/CPR, Cash Flow Management, Controls, and Business Finance. Costs vary between $60 and $120 for the courses; lunch is provided. The registration deadlines are three days prior to the date of the course. Enrollment for the R 410-A certification courses requires that the participant has current EPA Refrigerant Recovery license.
