Nevada HVAC company Yes! Air Conditioning and Plumbing announced its founder, Kenneth D. Goodrich, has established the J. Duncan Goodrich Air Conditioning Technology Endowment at the College of Southern Nevada (CSN).

Dr. Mike Richards (left), president of the College of Southern Nevada, receives the oversized "check" in the amount of $100,000, for the J. Duncan Goodrich Air Conditioning Technology Endowment. Making the presentation are Christine Goodrich, mother of Kenneth Goodrich; YES! founder, Kenneth Goodrich; Duncan Goodrich, Kenneth's son; and Kenneth's wife, Wendy Goodrich.

The $100,000 endowment was created in honor of Goodrich’s father, J. Duncan Goodrich, a pioneer in the Southern Nevada air conditioning industry. The fund will be used for scholarship disbursement and new equipment for the CSN Air Conditioning Technology Program and the school will name the Henderson campus’ air conditioning laboratory after Goodrich.

“Air conditioning in Southern Nevada isn't a luxury, it’s a life support system. Ensuring that we are continually developing skilled technicians and deploying them to the trade is vital for our community,” says Kenneth Goodrich.

“The CSN program consistently provides our industry’s current and future employees with crucial training and highly desirable skills. Through this donation, we will see continued growth of classroom instruction and equipment.”

The program, which is nationally accredited by the Partnership for Air Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Accreditation, prepares workers to be skilled in installation, service, troubleshooting, and the of repair of residential heating and cooling systems. The endowment will help effectively train workers for the future.

“This project will help our custumers continue to receive the high-quality air conditioning services they deserve, and provide the people who work in this field the opportunity to train and learn the newest technologies,” Goodrich says.

Yes! is an industry HVAC and plumbing company owned by national residential services leader American Residential Services, LLC (ARS).
