Schostak Brothers & Company recently received a U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) ENERGY STAR Award, after partnering with Linc Mechanical, LLC on an energy-efficient project for Laurel Park Place Office Center in Livonia, Michigan.

“It's an honor to receive the ENERGY STAR Award,” said Paula Goldman-Spinner, Vice President, Director of Office Building Management for Schostak Brothers & Company. “With each endeavor, we strive for the most cost-effective, energy-efficient approach in our building operations. Linc Mechanical’s team of experts and consistent customer-service approach provides solutions to help us meet these goals.”

In 2007, Linc Mechanical completed controls and equipment upgrades, replaced 21 rooftop units and added controls to the units at the Laurel Park Place Office Center. In addition, roughly 200 variable air volume boxes were also upgraded with new controls. Linc Mechanical currently continues to provide the Laurel Park Place Office Center with preventive maintenance service, which they have been managing for the past eight years.

“Providing turn-key solutions that result in a reduction in utility bill and energy costs is always our top priority,” said William Vaillancourt, general manager for Linc Mechanical, LLC – Detroit. “The numerous upgrades we provided to the Laurel Park Place Office Center in conjunction with the maintenance we provide on a continual basis have helped lower the property’s utility bills by nearly 20 percent. We're very happy that the service we provided helped Schostak receive an ENERGY STAR Award for Laurel Park Place Office Center.”
