PHCC Course Leads Attendees to New Opportunities

The Plumbing-Heating-Cooling Contractors—National Association (PHCC) Educational Foundation conducted its Essentials of Project Management class in Lansdowne, VA. The intensive four-day class has been teaching p-h-c contractor business owners and their project management team to recognize the value of pre-planning and standardizing their project management procedures since 1996.

This year’s sold-out four-day course featured expanded discussions on finding new business opportunities in retrofit and in the energy & water conservation markets.

“Without a doubt, the project management skills we cover in this class will help our attendees and their companies be more successful,” said course director and lead instructor Kirk Alter. “But we also show them the enormous potential gains they can realize if they are willing to pursue opportunities that their competitors are ignoring in conservation and existing buildings.”

“Our company has sent several people through this class before, and it’s easy to see why,” said attendee Cecil Carter from MMM Plumbing in Amarillo, TX. “It opened my eyes to the hundreds of choices we make every day that can make a huge difference in how profitable our work is.”

Individual sessions extracted from the course are available as half or full day educational seminars that can be presented locally to industry organizations and contractor groups.
