More than 55 HVAC business owners will be approaching 2011 with a "212 degree target," as a result of The Unified Group’s Annual Meeting/Owner Forum in Boca Raton, Fl.., Nov. 11-13.

This year’s meeting kicked off with Sam Parker’s 212 Degree video, which helped members visualize how their efforts and focus over the two and a half day -more- meeting would make a huge impact in their businesses.

'At 211 degrees, water is hot.
At 212 degrees, it boils.
And with boiling water, comes steam.
And with steam, you can power a train.' — Sam Parker

For Unified Group members, the annual meeting was an opportunity to discuss challenges, struggles, and opportunities with other non-competing owners. The meeting consisted of small roundtables where members discussed their 2011 strategic plan, a panel discussion of best practices from five former Members of the Year, and large group discussions that provided the perfect outlet to talk about issues like sales effectiveness, operational efficiencies, and customer relations.

“It's gratifying to sit at a table with people that are larger, better, or smaller. People that you can open up to, learn from and in some cases, help with issues,” says Unified Group member, Steve Harvey of Soefker Services. “The Unified Group has provided an excellent forum and camaraderie that is set to help you succeed.”

Formed in 1998, The Unified Group is an association of more than 50 of the very best independent HVAC commercial contractors in the industry. Our goal is to make great HVAC companies even stronger, and by doing so, to increase the value we each provide to our customers, whether they are local, regional, or national businesses.
