Armacell Plant Earns SHARP Safety Award

Armacell LLC, the maker of Armaflex foam insulation, is pleased to announce that its Mebane, NC., plant has been recognized for achieving the Safety and Health Achievement Recognition Program (SHARP) from the Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OSHA.) SHARP status requires the Lost Workday Incidence Rate (LWDI) and Injury Incidence Rate (IIR) to be below the national average.

North Carolina Labor Commissioner Cherie Berry will present the SHARP safety award at a ceremony at the Mebane facility on March 9, 2011, 1:00PM – 2:00PM.

Those present from Armacell to receive the award will be Tom Himmel, Vice President (North America,) Keith Norwood, Director Human Resources (North America,) Mike Fahsel, General Manager Manufacturing (North America) and John Walter, Plant Manager, Mebane.
