Bodycote Testing Group, the worldwide testing and advisory business has been relaunched with a new dynamic name, identity and website. The company will be known as Exova. The creation of a new name and identity will help to reflect the company’s new direction, vision and values, and has been prompted by the sale of the business by Bodycote plc last year.

“The extensive research undertaken among Bodycote Testing Group’s customers, suppliers and staff as part of the rebranding programme confirmed that we have a company to be proud of: a worldwide reputation for excellence coupled with many of the leading experts in their respective fields,"says Grant Rumbles, chief executive officer.

Exova is based in Mississauga, Ontario. It provides testing and advisory services to the aerospace, energy, oil and gas, civil engineering, transportation, pharmaceutical, food, and consumer products industries. It has over 130 facilities in 25 countries. It was acquired by the global private equity firm Clayton, Dubilier and Rice (CD&R) in October 2008.

Among its many areas of expertise, Exova provides local routine testing services for construction projects, and more specialist services such as accelerated weathering, cladding testing, onsite laboratories and building performance science.

Exova's metallurgical testing services include routine mechanical testing such as tensile, impact, hardness, all aspects of metallography, and failure analysis. Exova also offers testing and rating of green energy technologies under controlled sunlight, temperature, humidity, and wind conditions.

The new Exova name and its accompanying contemporary graphics convey the company’s vision of being "the number one supplier of choice of testing and advisory services." The new identity will be implemented through a phased roll-out planned to all worldwide sites over the next few months, with the change over being complete by October 2009.
