Building Performance Exchange Looks at Growing Businesses

The California Building Performance Contractor Exchange will explore "Growing Your Businss in a Difficult Market," Jan. 26-27, at the Energy Resource Center, Downey, CA.

The goal of the event is to facilitate networking and professional development for residential and small commercial building contractors. General sessions will feature interactive panel presentations with successful contractors and industry experts who will discuss the potential for incorporating energy efficiency and renewable energy initiatives into traditional contracting business practices. Also, the steps to leveraging federal, state and utility-sponsored incentive programs aimed at green collar workforce development, energy efficiency, and carbon emissions reduction.

Attendees will learn how to profit from the emerging roles for building performance diagnostics and contractor certification to address energy savings as well as the comfort, health and safety concerns of building owners.
