Karl Bykowski, vice president of the John W. Danforth Co., Tonawanda, NY, has received the prestigious Col. George D. Scott Award for Meritorious Service from the Plumbing-Heating-Cooling Contractors-National Association (PHCC).

The award recognizes a PHCC member for his or her many years of service and unselfish devotion to his association and industry, and whose industry efforts have provided many benefits to other p-h-c contractors. The award is presented in recognition of the continuing philosophy of dedicated service inspired by Col. George D. Scott, PHCC's first president.

Bykowski has served as national PHCC secretary and national zone director representing New York and New Jersey on the national board of directors.

Bykowski has also served as chairman and governing trustee of the Union-Affiliated Contractors, a PHCC enhanced service group for signatory contractors.
