Fourteen companies were recognized for product excellence at the 2nd Annual HVAC Comfortech Product Showcase Awards. Award winners were selected based upon design functionality and the ease of use for an HVAC contractor. Beginning with the November issue , the awardwinners will be featured in Contracting Business magazine. Photographs and complete product descriptions of the winners will appear in the following months:

  • NOVEMBER 2004: Best of Show — ClimateMaster for its Tranquility 27™ geothermal heat pump.

  • DECEMBER 2004: Diagnostics/Instrumentation category — Carrier for its Advanced Product Monitor.

  • JANUARY 2005: Indoor Air Quality category — RenewAire for its Breeze energy recovery ventilator.
    Filtration category — Cimatec Environmental Engineering for its Airclean 1500.

  • FEBRUARY 2005: Heat Pump category — Enertech, Inc. for its GeoComfort heating, cooling, hot water product.

  • MARCH 2005: Air Conditioning category — Trane for its XL19i dual compressor unit.
    Heating category — Rheem Manufacturing for the Super Quiet 80 gas furnace.

  • APRIL 2005: Sales/Marketing Software category — ADTEK Software Co. for its Electronic Consultant program. Business Management Software category — Mr. HVAC for Total Office Manager.

  • MAY 2005: Controls category — Honeywell for its Vision Pro 8000.

  • JUNE 2005: Tools category — Midwest Tool and Cutlery for its Upright Snips.
    Aftermarket category — PowerMate/LP International for its PowerMate motorized handtruck.

  • JULY 2005: Administrative category — Equiguard Inc. for its Extended Service Agreement.

  • AUGUST 2005: Training category — International Service Leadership for its ISL IAQ product.

Congratulations to all the winners. Of the 212 exhibitors at the show, more than half placed entries in the contest. Register early for booth space at the Nashville HVAC Comfortech 2005, and don't forget to enter to win!
