EMCOR Group, Inc., Norwalk, CT, a worldwide leader in mechanical and electrical construction, energy infrastructure, and facilities services, has named Anthony J. Guzzi as president and COO, effective October 25, 2004. Frank T. MacInnis will remain as Chairman of the Board and CEO.

Guzzi will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the company and will report directly to MacInnis.

Prior to this appointment, Guzzi held a variety of senior leadership positions at United Technologies Corporation , and its subsidiary, Carrier Corp. Since 2001, he has been president of Carriers North American Parts, Distribution and Services division.
