NATE Seeks Participants for Beta Testing of Commercial Refrigeration Installation Exam

Article Tools

North American Technician Excellence (NATE) is expanding its refrigeration testing. NATE launched the Light Commercial and Commercial Refrigeration Service exams in 2007. These exams cover knowledge related to the servicing of light commercial refrigeration (fractional HP to 7.5 hp) and commercial refrigeration (7.5 HP to 80 hp).
NATE is following these service exams with a Commercial Refrigeration Installation exam. Beta testing on this exam and certification is currently underway. Individuals and organizations including contractors, distributors, wholesalers, educational facilities and manufacturers may participate in the pilot exam. “The validity of each NATE exam is assured by a process of methodical, stringent review and testing, including an extensive piloting process. To reward participants for their efforts as participants in the beta process, NATE will provide all beta participants with free testing,” says Pat Murphy, vice-president of certifications at NATE.
To learn more about beta opportunities for NATE’s Commercial Refrigeration Installation exam or the Commercial Refrigeration Service exam, please contact Pat Murphy at 703/276-7247 or pmurphy@natex.org.
