The Danfoss Apexx VSH

The third annual AHR EXPO® Product of the Year Award has been awarded to Danfoss, Inc., Baltimore, MD, for its Apexx VSH Series variable speed scroll compressors for commercial air conditioning.
Danfoss sources say the Apexx VSH compressor and drive package is the first high-capacity variable speed scroll solution for commercial R-410A air conditioning and heat pump systems.

The Apexx was chosen based on the judges assessments in four categories: innovation, application, value, and market impact. 

“To have the VSH solution named Product of the Year is indeed an honor," says John Galyen, president of Danfoss North America Refrigeration  Air Conditioning. "It is not the capstone, but actually a milestone in the VSH story, as development continues for engineering innovations leading to even greater energy efficient solutions for our customers.”
