DOE Funding Enables ASHRAE to Provide Free Download of Standard 90.1-2007

Article Tools

The American Society of Heating, Refrigerating, and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) is making Standard 90.1-2007 Inch Pound Edition (I-P Edition) available to download at no-cost.

The free download is made possible by funding from the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE). The information included in the download is meant to support the building energy efficiency goals of DOE's Building Technologies Program, and those found in the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA).

Additionally, DOE sources claim to offer assistance to states and stakeholders with adoption- and compliance-related activities associated with the 90.1-2007.

DOE representatives say the collaboration with ASHRAE will lead to greater energy efficiency in buildings.
