The St. Louis Business Journal has reported that Emerson will likely sell its appliance motors and U.S. commercial and industrial motors businesses. The news was announced during a third quarter earnings report conference call. A decision will be made later this month. Possible candidates  Sales in Emerson's entire appliance, tools and motors division grew 10%, to $850 million in the third quarter.
