The Air Conditioning Contractors of America (ACCA) reported today the death of former leader Marvin E. Kanze. Mr. Kanze died peacefully on December 15 at age 87. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Myra, his four children, 10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Kanze served as ACCA’s chief elected officer (a position now known as chairman) in 1982. He started his heating and air conditioning business, Marvin E . Kanze Inc., based in Havertown, PA, in 1953. Kanze's son Aaron is now the president, and son Jonathan has also joined the company.

The Kanze company website explains the company service philosophy known as the "Kanze way" — "our employees go that extra mile to meet that extra mark of quality that comes standard with all of our work."

A memorial service was held on December 17th near his home, King of Prussia, PA. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that donations be made to Montgomery Hospice, 25 W. Fornace St., Norristown, PA, 19401, or the charity of your choice.
