Luxaire® Sponsors Second Annual Ronnie Gaspard Memorial Clay Shoot

The Luxaire® brand of residential and light-commercial HVAC equipment sponsored the Second Annual Ronnie Gaspard Memorial Clay Shoot in Maurice, LA. The all-day event raised more than $31,000 for the Make-A-Wish Foundation® of the Texas Gulf Coast & Louisiana, including a $15,000 donation from Luxaire.

Profits from the event will help grant wishes to three deserving children with life-threatening medical conditions. They, along with their families and four employees of Luxaire distributor Solar Supply, Inc., Lake Charles, LA, joined the more than 100 people who attended the event. The Solar Supply employees participated in the morning flight of the clay shoot.

“I’ve been involved with the Make-A-Wish Foundation for eight years,” said Paul Brame, manager of Solar Supply. Brame attended the event as part of a team that participated in the clay shoot. “The clay shoot was a lot of fun and was a nice reminder of our support of these kids. I wish I could do more.”

Luxaire’s sponsorship of the Make-A-Wish Foundation began in 2001 and has resulted in donations totaling more than $2 million. The most recent agreement between the two organizations extends the relationship into 2011 and commits $675,000 in Luxaire contributions over three years to the national program.

“Luxaire dealers and distributors are proud to join Make-A-Wish® chapters in fundraising activities,” said Mary Mocarski, Luxaire brand manager. “Events like the Ronnie Gaspard Memorial Clay Shoot not only benefit deserving children and their families, but also enrich the special connection that Luxaire and the Make-A-Wish Foundation share.”
