Metal-Fab Completes Expansion Project

Third expansion in 10 years

Article Tools

Metal-Fab, Inc. has announced the completion of a 37,000 square foot addition to their Wichita, Kansas manufacturing facility. The addition will house manufacturing and warehouse areas that will be needed to accommodate the addition and expansion of several product lines.

This is Metal-Fab’s third plant expansion within the past ten years. The company wants to stay active in spite of tougher markets.

Metal-Fab has added 37,000 sq. ft. of manufacturing/shipping space.

"We're taking a proactive approach to the current market situation by introducing new product lines such as our new stainless steel flexible chimney liner systems, says Metal-Fab President, Steve Hughbanks.

“Some of our manufacturing departments have literally doubled, and that necessitates additional space and some serious investment in new plant equipment,” he says.

In addition to the new stainless steel flexible liner, Metal-Fab has recently introduced direct vent and biomass vent, and expanded their lines of special gas vent, fire and ceiling radiation dampers, and grilles and registers.

“We still see the future of the Hearth and HVAC markets as growing and dynamic”, adds Scott Schmelzer, Metal-Fab director of residential sales.

Six Metal-Fab warehouses across the U.S. provide quick shipment to local markets. Each warehouse stays well-stocked and has close communications with Wichita headquarters.
