WaterFurnace Golf Outing Nets $20,000 for USO, Military

Article Tools

Whether you hit 'em straight or slice 'em wide, golfing for a good cause other than leisure is always rewarding. WaterFurnace knows. It raised $20,000 for the USO of Indiana, the U.S. Air Force Reserve, and the Air National Guard, during a September golf outing in WaterFurnace's headquarters city, Fort Wayne, IN.

A portion of the WaterFurnace donation will be used to create a larger and improved Internet cafe in the new USO Indiana Recreation Center being built at Camp Atterbury.

WaterFurnace will be named as the benefactor of the Internet cafe, and a plaque will be placed in the new center acknowledging the contribution.

The USO of Indiana will also place a portion of the WaterFurnace contribution in a fund to support military activities in Northern Indiana. The funds will allow continued and increased support of the Indiana Air National Guard at Baer Field, and the Air Force Reserve at Grissom Air Reserve Base.
