Lochinvar® Develops New Library of Downloadable Revit® Models

Lochinvar® has developed a library of drawings of its commercial and residential products that are fully configured for placement in Autodesk® Revit® Architecture 2010 building information models. Architects, contractors, and designers using the 2010 edition of Revit software — which allows them to design with parametric modeling and drafting elements — can now download the pre-programmed, 3D Lochinvar equipment models for free at Lochinvar.com.

The library currently includes 26 drawings of key Lochinvar models, such as the Armor® commercial water heater, Knight XL® commercial boiler, Shield® commercial water heater and Sync® condensing boiler, as well as the floor-standing Knight® residential heating boiler. Additional models are currently in development and will be available for download in the near future.

The heavy-duty toolbox houses a combination of components, featuring three Purox® cutting tips and one heating head. The kit offers a cutting range up to four inches and a heating range up to 30 cfh acetylene (44,000 Btu/hr). Taco's Solar Pump Line Includes Integral Controls

Taco's latest addition to its 00® family of circulators includes a line of variable speed 00 solar pumps designed to match solar collector output, a feature that increases solar system performance by 20%, sources say. Taco's variable speed circulators with integral solar control includes the 009 solar drain-back circulator and several cast iron and non-ferrous pump sizes with integrated controls for jobs of all types and sizes.

Wiring for power and sensors is done directly to the circulator. The LED status panel makes it easy to check function. Dip-switch settings offer easy set-up. The pumps continually adjust speed to reduce short-cycling, maximizing solar collector output and system efficiency.
