Emerson Energy Savings Calculator Shows XJ Advantage
Emerson Climate Technologies, Inc., a business of Emerson, has released the XJ Energy Savings Calculator for its Copeland Scroll® outdoor condensing unit line. The online calculator allows contractors, businesses, engineers, and wholesalers to determine how much energy they can expect to save by applying an XJ series unit compared to standard unit offerings. The calculator helps users find the most relevant information, applying Emerson’s Annual Energy Efficiency Ratio (AEER) methodology, which uses historic average weather data from fiveclimatic temperature regions in the U.S. http://bit.ly/emersonxjcalc

Geothermal Heat Pump Has 18.5 EER
The GeoStar Magnolia series geothermal heat pump is a product packed with years of engineering advancements, say sources from WFI Industries. Magnolia series products feature highly efficient, reliable, single capacity scroll compressors paired with variable-speed ECM blower motors that ensure precisely controlled comfort, quiet operation and energy savings. The Magnolia has an 18.5 energy efficiency ratio (EER) and a 3.8 coefficient of performance (COP), which exceeds ASHRAE 90.1 efficiency standards. It uses R-410A refrigerant and is available in capacities ranging from 24,000 through 70,000 BTUH. The unit is fully insulated, with cleanable, foil-backed insulation for quiet operation. A simplified microprocessor control sequences components during operation for optimum performance, and provides easy-to-use troubleshooting features, with fault lights and on-board diagnostics.
