Dexter + Chaney launches a new version of Spectrum® construction software.
Users can access the full features of Spectrum version 14 from anywhere using any Internet-connected device. The software can be hosted by the client or employed as a “software-free” cloud-based product. The user saves time and money on setup, hardware and internal support; even workstation requirements are low since all processing occurs on the server.
Dwyer Instruments, Inc. announces the release of the HVAC mobile app, which is an air velocity and flow calculator.
By downloading the air velocity and flow calculator, available on the Apple and Android Markets, one can easily convert velocity pressure to air velocity or air velocity to air volume. This calculator also includes air density factors from humidity levels. For those customers not in the Apple or Android markets, a web version of the air velocity and flow calculator is also available on the website.
Dynasonics announces the development of its acoustics information model (AIM) software, which is a free noise prediction tool. AIM is designed to model the amount of noise that reaches individual spaces within a building project through the mechanical systems.
The new software uses sound data projected through HVAC system components, noise control accessories and architectural elements to predict background noise levels. It includes built-in library functionality to allow users to create and maintain databases of acoustic information.
Eaton Corporation announces the release of Power Xpert reporting version 3.0, which helps customers make sense of power monitoring data and identify vital statistics to improve the efficiency and reliability of facilities. Power Xpert reporting is powerful software engineered for energy, health care, information technology and facility managers to track and compare systems within facilities and across the enterprise. According to company sources, the new standard and custom reports help customers take advantage of government incentives, avoid penalties and reduce their carbon footprint.
The Emerson HVACR mobile toolbox is a set of seven mobile applications for HVACR contractors. The Toolbox is designed to give HVACR contractors on-the-go access to tools and resources that will help them do their jobs quickly and more profitably. Designers can now integrate Energence and Landmark rooftop units from Lennox into their digital plans using Building Information Modeling (BIM) objects downloaded from the Lennox Commercial website. Team Management Systems, Inc. announces their IPAD / iPhone version of ACOTRUCK Mobile Work Order software. ACOTRUCK Mobile Work Order is an electronic version of a paper work order that allows technicians to invoice customers in the field, capture the customer’s signature and upload all of the information back to their office server software.
In addition to time and material billing, the Mobile Work Order also handles Flat Rate and ‘As Agreed’ invoices as well as printed work orders for invoices that will be sent from the office.
