    Jan. 20, 2011
Now with locations in 42 states

Rapid Recovery has opened an office in Nashville, TN. As the only nationwide refrigerant recovery company, we’re pleased to open in this city and further expand our service platform." says Adam Dykstra, president of Rapid Recovery. This marks the 22nd location for the nation’s largest provider of refrigerant abatement. With locations coast to coast and work experience in 42 states, Rapid Recovery continues to expand with no end in sight.

Rapid Recovery offers refrigerant recovery and abatement nationwide through its franchise network. Their customer base includes refrigeration and air conditioning contractors, refrigeration wholesale distributors, demolition contractors, DOD, landfill administrators and in-house service departments. The company provides on-site refrigerant recovery solutions, including job-site refrigerant recovery, recovery cylinder service, refrigerant disposal and documentation services.

Founded in 2002, Rapid Recovery believes it has revolutionized the way refrigerant gets recovered across the nation, including by making certain it provides superior EPA documentation and service, says Adam Dykstra of Rapid Recovery. Another unique aspect is the company’s franchise model. Dykstra says service backed by local ownership is a huge plus for contractors.

“We’re a genuine service company to HVAC and demolition contractors as well as in house facilities departments and government agencies,” Dykstra says. “As the burdensome cost of technicians’ time, equipment, maintenance; and expensive, yet inadequate off-the-shelf recovery equipment are realized, Rapid Recovery is in prime position for continued growth. Contractors are realizing that outsourcing the refrigerant recovery process to an expert can add profitability to their jobs.”

Dykstra says the Nashville market an extremely important and exciting addition to the growing Rapid Recovery chain. The addition of the Nashville location allows Rapid Recovery to provide their services in an area of the country that previously required substantial travel. As well, Rapid Recovery will be a great asset to the multitude of industrial plants that utilize refrigerant in their processes.

Rapid Recovery’s Nashville operation is owned and operated by Dan Melson. An HVACR industry veteran with a more than 30-year track record, Melson has an impressive background in sales and operations in the HVAC business. “Rapid Recovery represented an extremely attractive opportunity to me because it is the only franchise business currently in this space,” said Melson. “It is also a scalable, green business that will only gain additional visibility due to increased environmental issues and requirements,” he adds. “A lot of interest is being generated with the opening of the Nashville franchise. It has become very clear that there was strong demand for a better solution for refrigerant recovery here in Tennessee,” Melson says.

Rapid Recovery is currently making introductions in Nashville to the HVACR community. “My background and experience in the HVACR industry coupled with the proven performance of the Rapid Recovery franchise model makes this a great fit," Melson adds.
