    Emerson Acquires Vilter Manufacturing

    Emerson Climate Technologies, a business of Emerson, has acquired Vilter Manufacturing, LLC, a privately held compressor manufacturer based in Cudahy, WI. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

    Vilter will become a part of Emerson Climate Technologies' Refrigeration Division which provides commercial refrigeration products and solutions. Vilter products are used in a wide range of industrial refrigeration systems. Vilter produces a complete line of compressors for industrial refrigeration and gas compression applications, including reciprocating and single screw compressors. Its products are sold through 72 U.S. and 31 international distribution locations.

    “Vilter has a well-respected brand that will enhance our presence in the food processing and cold storage segments of the refrigeration market,” says Ed Purvis, executive vice president, and business leader of Emerson Climate Technologies.

    “Vilter is a technology leader in energy-efficient, environmentally-conscious solutions in its industry,” adds Ram Krishnan, president, Refrigeration Division of Emerson Climate Technologies.

    “We see great growth opportunities for both organizations as Vilter joins the Emerson team,” Krishnan says.
